Peter
and Katie B.
I am writing to first and foremost thank Community Finance Group for all of your help and hard work that went into helping me save my home. Even before my house actually went into foreclosure it was impossible to get anyone to even listen to the whole problem before they said there was nothing they could do. This was never the case with your organization. Throughout this whole process I was treated with respect and listened to. I know how busy your office is and that I was not your only client but working with Dan W. during this refinancing I always felt that I was his priority, even though I am sure that there were other more lucrative deals that you and he were working on.
All during this process I have been talking to and trying to work with the different offices, banks, organizations and government agencies that are supposed to help people in my situation and position regarding mortgage default and foreclosure. Rest assured I will be “spreading the word” to any and all that will listen that your team was the only group of people out there that actually returned phone calls, followed up when they said they would, and came through in the end. I know it wasn’t easy to find a new lender for me, but the fact that you and Dan never gave up means so much to me and my family.
In closing let me say again, Katie and I will never be able to thank you and Dan, and all the other people at Community Finance Group enough for what you have done for our family to re-secure our piece of the “American Dream.” Also I have made the following post to Craigslist:
With so many people facing foreclosure and default on mortgages I have to share this story. Yesterday, with only 3 days remaining until the end of my redemption period I was able to redeem my house with the Hennepin County Sheriff, and am once again a home-owner. I am aware that there is still a lot to come, with the possibility of my original financer coming back for a deficiency, etc., but I am at least secure again in my home. This could not have been done without the tireless help and support of Dan Wessels at Community Finance Group.
Dan and the whole team over at Community Finance Group spent countless hours over the past 4 months working with me to find out exactly what was going on, to search out both Hard Money and Bank Financing options, and to work on securing what was needed to save my home.
I cannot say enough good things about Dan. After spending months trying to work with Chase Mortgage to find some arrangement to save my house from Foreclosure, then additional months working with the various community and non-profit agencies that are supposed to help, my house was sold at Foreclosure Auction in September. I then spent additional months visiting and talking to pretty much every bank in the State only to be turned away after no more than 5 minutes. No one would listen, no one would take the time to talk about options. I had the vultures at the door and on the phone daily telling me they would buy my house for pennies on the dollar or asking me for thousands of dollars to see what they could do with no guarantees. That is when I found Dan's name through a google search on people talking about finding financing.
I called Dan, expecting nothing more than I had gotten from anyone else up to that point, in other words expecting nothing. Instead Dan called me back, listened to what was going on, and talked honestly about what my chances were and what he could and would do. Over the past 4 months Dan has worked incredibly diligently, returned phone calls, and was always available when I called. He was very straightforward on what to expect through the whole process, managed my expectations, kept me calm and reassured when I needed it, and not only came through in the end but actually turned out to be someone that earned my trust and respect, which in this economy counts for a lot.
For anyone in the position of default, foreclosure, or trying to redeem I cannot stress enough that this is the group of people to talk to. I, and my family, had pretty much given up. We were looking at rental property and packing our house up to move. Instead last night for the first time in 9 months I was able to look around my house and know that it is mine again, and for the first time in almost a year got a good night sleep.
If you would like more information from me, I can be reached at 763-213-5287, I would be happy to share my experiences with you and provide a reference. Dan can be reached at dwessels@communityfg.com.
Good luck and G-d Bless to anyone out there that is going through what I just did. There can actually be a light at the end of that tunnel, and these are the people that can help you find it.
Cheers,

Our search for a home was stressful, nerve wracking, and not a pleasant
experience. We looked for months; using several Realtors and speaking
with many mortgage Brokers and Lenders. We didn't sign Realty contracts
or obligate ourselves to any one company because it just never felt
right. We toured open houses on weekends; spending almost every free
minute looking for a house; to no avail.
Several months had passed and I was browsing the yellow pages one
morning looking for a mortgage company for a question I wanted to ask
regarding a specific lending practice. I selected Community Finance. If
there’s such a thing as an angel truly sitting on your shoulders, mine
was with me that day.
I spoke with Andrew V. He
spent quite a long time with me answering all my questions, very
patiently explaining things that I never fully understood before. That
was the first call I`d made that made me feel good when the conversation
was over.
Andrew suggested a realtor for us to try that we really loved;
and to make this long story short; we were welcomed like family. From
the initial phone call, we were home; not just another impartial
business contract.
Thanks to Chris, our wonderful realtor, we found our dream house quickly
and in our price range. We didn't have to give up anything; everything
we specified we wanted in a home we got; and more. He was relentless in
finding us our perfect home. Every bit as relentless was the Community
Finance staff. Through their thoroughness and expediency, they found us
the perfect loan at a great interest rate. They were so fast it made our
heads reel; we just couldn't hardly believe that our dream had come true
that quickly.
Everyday we are so thankful and feel blessed for our lovely home, and
even more thankful, for being guided to people that give you a home with
them before you even find your house. They will always be our friends
for life; and a big part of our extended family.

My
experience with Scott K. & Community Finance has been outstanding. I cannot
say enough good things about Scott. I have researched POF business loans rates
for the greater part of 6 months. There is absolutely no one in the POF industry
that comes close to cost savings benefit of their service.
Yet
even if there was no cost saving value, I would still use the services of Scott
because even while bargain shopping, I was impressed with the level of
professionalism, integrity and repaid response to my every concern.
And
after making a decision to avail of Scott's services, I was profoundly impressed
with the customer service I was provided.
While
there was a small glitch which prolonged the funding process a few days, on the
bases of my experience with Scott, I know he would deliver. And sure enough, he
validated my trust.
In
retrospect, I value the peace of mind in knowing that I am dealing with a person
of high integrity who has proven to be worthy of my trust and respect.
For
this reason, I have recommended the Scott's POF services to my friends and
associates. And I will be availing of his services again in the very near
future.

Over the past several years we have turned to Andrew V, for home
refinancing as well as financial advice.
Andrew
has been a very good business friend to my wife and I. He guided us through two
home refinances with his company. The professionalism as well as trust we have
grown to depend on over the years with this company and Andrew has been a
benefit to our family. The refinancing processes with Community Finance Group
have been quick and easy. This company strives to explain every step of the
process and also to educate customers on the refinancing process to help take
the stress out of the process.
This
company has also helped us with financial decisions outside of the home
refinancing process. We feel very fortunate to have someone to call or meet with
when financial decisions need to be made to help us make good sound decisions
regarding financial matters. Our relationship with Andrew and his company is
very special to us and we could not have found a better person and company to
help us make the right choices in financial matters in our everyday life.
If you are looking for a company that can help you and your family in
this ever so changing financial world of ours, we suggest that you call
Community Finance Group. You will be treated with respect and you will
figure out why they are a special company to work with. We couldn’t
have found a better company to help us in any financial matter.
We
truly are fortunate to be associated with Andrew and his company and we will
continue our relationship with them for years to come.

When we came to Andrew V., of Community
Finance Group, we did not have anywhere else to turn.
We had gotten into an interest only loan, without any knowledge of what
it really meant and we needed to get out of it.
We had expected our mortgage broker to be up front with us and also
knowledgeable in this area. We later
found out he wasn’t and landed us with a mortgage that we should not have
gotten into. We did not realize that paying the minimal payment did nothing for
lowering the principal on our mortgage. The
longer this went on the worse it got. The
payments were going up, the possibility of losing our home if this went on, and
the fact that the principal was going up and with the market bottoming out would
mean our house would not have the same value in order to refinance.
Lucky for us that someone recommended Andrew to us.
I called Andrew right away and told him what was going on with our
mortgage and could he help us. We
were pretty distraught in the fact that we had worked so hard for our home and
we could soon lose it. No one was
willing to help us out; not even our own mortgage company.
Everything was falling apart; from the housing markets to the banks.
Andrew came through; he was able to work with us and get us a mortgage.
His kindness showed through when he was dealing with us on a daily basis;
he cared what happen to you and it helped knowing he was knowledgeable in what
he was doing. He explained
everything to us and even worked with us to lower his fee to help us with having
a payment we could live with. It was
a bit of a hardship on us but we knew in the long run it would be the best.
We are now in a 30 year fixed FHA loan and won’t have to worry about
losing it to the bank. We did not
have a lot of money to work with but he made it happen.
While I am working for Department of Human Services/State of Minnesota
for over 23 years I have learned to expect high level of professionalism and
that was exactly was offered to us by Andrew and other staff of Community
Finance we came across. Andrew was always available either by phone or email to
answer any questions before and after he closed on our loan.
I hope that if you are ever in the market for a person who cares in this
crazy world that you would look up the services of the Community Finance Group
and ask for Andrew V.
